new developments, whether they concern national policies or new opportunities in

union - management problems. All of this is accomplished through the collective effort
of colleagues working together on committees. This collective effort provides members
all the advantages of large representation such as in legislative activities, which seek
to improve the roles of the mechanical contractor in the areas of laws and regulations.
Among the results of this collective effort are such things as the Joint
Apprenticeship Committee, which furthers the development of materials and programs to
enhance the skills of apprentices and improve their technical capabilities.
